Something to snack on while waiting for the air-ambulance?

A hard hat wouldn't protect your fragile neck bones from being crushed by a falling pig.

You'd need some kind of safety shelter with a reinforced roof.

If you had a banksman or lookout, s/he could sound a warning of impending pig descent in the prescribed manner, and you could step smartly to one side, thus saving your bacon, as it were. You see, it's all in the risk assessment...

For no apparent reason my first laptop (back in the days when 80Mb memory was mega high spec) came with a gallery of sound clips, one of which appeared to be a cow falling out of the sky and exploding on impact.....have always wondered what Microsoft had in mind but this thread has made it all clear, training module for field archaeologists - obvious really :face-approve:

For pigs you need hard hats. With cows it's different - you need beef wellingtons.

You could mount some kind of competitive aerial BBQ event. Arm everyone with flamethrowers and rocket launchers, and heat the meat on the way down. Anything not cooked to at least medium rare before it hits the ground, gets the shooter disqualified.

Can I stick with 30mm from a CVRT? If it was good enough to bring down a Skyhawk over the Falklands it ought to be perfect for Gloucester Old Spots over er.. Gloucestershire.
