Hello All,
I was wondering whether anyone out there knew of published cases where the condition of bone lying under new developments was monitored, or was re-visited and assessed during later development. I would be interested to know whether placement of an impermeable surface necessarily causes degradation below it.

It'll vary from place to place of course, but any examples would be interesting.

I'd recommend talking to Jim Williams and Jane Sidell of EH on this one, as they conducted the PARIS seminars which took place earlier this year. I don't recall human remains being specifically considered, but they will probably know where to look for examples.
