Was just wondering if anyone knew if any of the summer digs (volunteer education type ones) were looking for any experienced archaeologists to help out for the summer? Seeing as I have been turned down for all the non-archaeology jobs I've applied to for lack of ''job stability in employment history'' I want to find something to do that doesnt entail me signing on and sleeping on my parents sofa!
I know its a long shot but I'm pretty willing to try anything right now :-)
Thanks!

Are you looking for paid or unpaid work? I can certainly give you some addresses of voluntary projects, but maybe that isn't what you want.....

Sorry I'll rephrase that. Would you be able to pay if it was a voluntary project with a fee involved?

lol. You're best bet (if you are looking for volunteer work) would be to check with the universities in the north.
UCLAN and Hull come to mind.
Have a look at their websites and look for some contact details for the Archaeology division.
Hope it helps and good luck
