I am not saying anything... but expect an influx of keen archaeologists.. soon to realise that watching briefs in November in Middlesborough are not like the film...
but hey ... welcome to what I am intending to do for my retirement:
Yes... its true.... he's back ... last film... 1989!

He's getting on a bit now - maybe they should've made it a bit more realistic. "Indiana Jones and the Local Development Framework Consultation" perhaps? Or "Indiana Jones and the University's Internal Reorganisation"? See our 1980's hero struggle against the upper management's criticism of him for not publishing enough articles in the previous years and threaten to make him part-time as one of a number of cost-cutting measures!
Alternatively he could just get the sack and be replaced with a swashbuckling but more modern all round "Heritage Professional". [:p]

Recognition of the IFA ... how to recognise the IFA... (No. 568 in an infinite series)
See that bloke in the corner.. the one sitting alone.. nursing a half bitter shandy... I think I recognise him as IFA.
Nice one Curator! Very true to life...
thats why I am ready to get back to adventure... roll on April... no more constraints.. no more directives... and more BAJR heads off to places where people do like BIG knives and BIGGER guns... If I is going to die an archaeologit ... let it be in a steamy jungle or snow cave.. or better still, trying to excavate in Afghanistan - trowel in one hand... PPG in the other (Should that not be RPG? Ed) while bullets flick the dust around me... heaven .... Thats actually what happened on one site I tried to survey... but thats another story!

If you have ever been to MiddlesBeRough you will know it is a far more dangerous place than any trap-filled Amazonian tomb. Except the poison darts will be hypodermic needles and instead of just smearing the punji stakes with excrement they have done the whole town. Don't even ask about "over the border".
Careful, it might be hallucinogEeEe**33nnnn..

I understand that Sean Connery won't be reprising his role of Daddy Jones, so light relief is provided by Jim Broadbent as seriously geeky archaeological academic.
That is the same Jim Broadbent who played the Puritan uncle to Miriam Margoles aunty in the Blackadder episode about the turnip shaped like Baldric's thingy who was of course played by Tony Robinson who regularly appears on TV with Phil Harding who wears a hat like Indiana Jones but ain't quite as good looking!
So that't the plot. Bring on the special effects.....
