Have you not heard that Winter Holiday decorations are not allowed in offices this year because they pose a serious H&S risk? I suggest that you get the guidelines on decorations from the HSE and follow them if you must put up decorations.
Cheers,

Yes its that wonderful time of the year again, the mince pies are baking the Christmas tree is being decorated and all the little children are getting excited.
What a wonderful festive feeling, joy to all men and womenfolk...except us lot!
Whilst farther christmas gears up for another light speed trip around the world plenty of units big and small are getting all excited at the prospect of......... laying off there staff for the christmas period, oh the money they will save!
Eebenezer scrooge cometh and we are like a bunch of Tiny Tims lame, poor and despite the hardship we struggle through, must not grumble we say Mr Scrooge will have us back in the new year as he`s such a nice man and he treats us well as we are glad to have a job after all that is also our hobby I mean I know he`s gruff, rude, uncompromising and brutish but at least he`s fair... er I think.. well least thats what he tells me. And he gives us a christmas card each year and I say, tipping my hard hat, "why thank you Mr Scrooge what a very genourous man you are..." "Tis of no consequence my boy the card is the only thing I can find that keeps the P45 Flat."
3 ghosts from the IFA needed I fancy. Although theyd probably be as useful as a chocolate fire gaurd.
Merry Christmas to you all and I will see you down the Jobby.[xx(]

This was suggested by BAJR Host on the 'muppet' thread in connection with Health and Safety.
A quick look through the first 10 pages of the members' list shows that there are 11 non-UK members of this forum based in other EU states. I urge you to ask not what your BAJR can do for you, but what you can do for your BAJR. Go out and recruit!
I think we have real potential collectively to change the face of archaeology in Europe. What do y'all think?
Ha ha, time for a pint ('tis Friday after all).

1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed
14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently
7 to caution about the health and safety aspects of changing light bulbs
7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs
6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb", "light bulb" or "light-bulb"
another 6 to condemn those 6 as anally-retentive
2 consultants to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"
3 academics to claim that "light bulb" is politically incorrect
15 know-it-all hardened supervisors and project officers who argue that "light bulb" is in fact perfectly correct
19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a lightbulb forum
11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum
36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty
7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs
4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's
3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group
13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"
5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy
4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"
13 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs"
1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again.
